Reduce, Recycle, Re-use

At the beginning of our earthbalance sustainability programme we set the bold target:

After 2 years of focused projects we are proud to share significant improvements in this area. We now recycle 85% of the waste generated through manufacture and our Warrington site is fantastically close to our Zero Waste to Landfill target as 97% of the waste generated being recycled. More importantly we now generate 16% less total waste than we did in 2008.
 

In addition to our focus on the manufacture and distribution of our products we are extremely aware that this is not the end of our contribution to waste reduction. Crown paints are exploring and implementing a wide range of initiatives that are enabling our customers to reduce the amount of waste generated as a result of their painting projects, whether that be Crown Paints Pure Paint samples rather than tester pots, the Can Back scheme or paint donation through Orange RockCorps we take our responsibility seriously.
