Energy And Cliemate

Part of the responsibility and privilege of any major employer is to support and be part of the local community. Our most public community activity is our sponsorship of Blackburn Rovers Football club, which creates a great bond between our Darwen head office and manufacturing site and the wider community.
 

In August 2010 representatives from all areas of the business were selected to form a charity committee. The aim of the committee is to raise as much money as possible for charities and good causes in the UK and Ireland, in particular supporting local initiatives for the benefit of the wider community.
 

Also in 2010, Crown Paints worked in conjunction with Orange RockCorps, a pro-social production company who encourage young people to participate in local community projects; repainting a community centre, renovating a play park or helping out a local charity. In return for their time they earn tickets to gigs held across the UK. Crown Paints partnered with Orange RockCorps by donating the necessary paint for their projects.
 

Crown Paints has been so impressed with the use of the paint that it has already made a commitment to fully support Orange RockCorps during 2011 so that even more people will derive benefit from paint products that would otherwise have reached their end of life and so you will find us involved in small initiatives all over the UK.
